Our guides answer the questions that come after you know your size: how a ring should feel, what to do when it does not fit, and how to choose bangles for a wedding. Each guide is written by the Ring Bangle Sizer team and uses the same size data as our tools.
Ring guides
- How should a ring fit? Too tight vs too loose – the knuckle test, signs of a bad fit, and quick fixes such as sizing beads and ring guards.
- Can you resize a ring? – how far a ring can go up or down, which metals cannot be resized, and what affects the cost.
Bangle guides
- Bridal bangle size guide – choosing the size for a chooda, glass bangles and gold kangan, and how to measure a bride’s hand.

How we write these guides
Every size and measurement on this site comes from the published standards described on our how we measure page (ISO 8653 for rings, the Indian inch-and-sixteenths system for bangles). Practical advice is checked against jewellers’ published sizing guidance, and we update a guide when we find a better source or a reader reports a mistake. Spotted something? Tell us.
