Why size 6 is so common
Average women’s ring sizes in the US, UK and Australia fall between 6 and 7. Because of that, display rings in jewellery shops and online product photos are usually size 6 or 6.5, and many engagement rings are sold in size 6 by default and resized after purchase. If you are buying a surprise ring and have no other information, size 6 or 6.5 is the most likely to fit, but it is still a guess.
Is 6 the right size for you?
