- Bring your thumb across your palm and hold your fingers together.

- Mark the overlap, lay the strip on a ruler and read the length in cm.

2.6 worked example
A hand measurement of 18.6 cm gives 18.6 ÷ 3.1416 = 5.92 cm. The first size at least 5.92 cm wide is 2.6 (6.03 cm), with just over 1 mm to spare – a good, close fit. Size 2.4 (5.72 cm) would be 2 mm too small to pass the knuckles.
